On a 70-degree first weekend of spring, Birmingham to Linwood, NC manifest 154 hurries north through the quaint town of Oakwood, GA with two old school engines out front.
NS local for Occidental heads south with veteran EMD power leading the way. The EMD SD60 had gone into more of the local power pool in many places along the NS.
A turn job with older power brings loads off the Gilbert Br. and onto the Pokey main near Glen Alum.
